Platform

One development approach across two delivery technologies: long-acting injectables and microarray patches. The science to select the right drugs and the capability to reformulate them.

Candidate selection

Extentus selects drugs against a defined set of pharmacological criteria. The platform is generally compatible only with poorly water-soluble compounds, making low aqueous solubility the primary filter. Alongside this, suitable candidates usually show high potency, a long pharmacokinetic half-life, and a low target plasma concentration. This profile is most likely to support extended exposure from a single administration.

Formulation and delivery

Selected candidates are developed into long-acting products using our established injectable depot and microarray patch technologies. Formulation, characterisation, and translational PK are conducted to a defined standard: the diligence-ready package behind each programme’s regulatory plan. High-throughput screening is available where required, generating formulation libraries in parallel from minimal API quantities.

Scalable manufacture

Manufacturability is designed in from the outset. Formulations use processes compatible with established, scalable GMP manufacture, giving a credible route to clinical and commercial supply. Early attention to manufacture reduces downstream technical risk and strengthens the package at transaction.
